In 1990 the Pueblo Depot Activity Facility was renamed the Pueblo Chemical Depot and its primary mission was changed to the storage of United States chemical and biological weapons. The Pueblo Chemical Depot is located at 38° 16′ 26″ N, 104° 20′ 34″ W in Pueblo County Colorado approximately 14 miles east of the city of Pueblo, 40 miles south of Colorado Springs and 115 miles south of the State Capital Denver.
